East Sussex pupils not given their choice of primary school

Up to 250 children in East Sussex have not been allocated any of their three choices of primary schools.
East Sussex County Council said there had been 5,252 applicants, of which 4,666 children got their first choice.
However, almost 5% of children were not placed in any of the schools they requested, the authority confirmed.
A spokesman said: "We have a transparent and fair admissions policy. We try to meet as many parents preferences as possible."
