A £1m upgrade to the national cycle network in East Sussex has been officially opened by transport minister, Norman Baker.

The mile-long cycleway, along the A27 between Beddingham and Firle links towns and villages along the A27 corridor from East Sussex to Brighton.

The new cycleway is separated from the main carriageway of the A27.

This means cyclists using it will no longer have to compete for road space with traffic.
