A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a Danish tourist, who was found stabbed to death at a flat in West Sussex on Thursday.
Kayden Smith, 27, of Hassocks, is accused of killing tattoo artist Jan Jensen, 52, whose body was found in Belmont Close in the village.
Sussex Police said Mr Jensen was visiting from Aalborg and had recently become friendly with Mr Smith.
Lewes Crown Court remanded Mr Smith in custody until 19 October.
A post-mortem examination found Mr Jensen had been stabbed in the chest.
A statement issued by his family said: "We, as Jan's family, still struggle with accepting the fact that he has died under terrible circumstances."
