Three people have been seriously injured in a three-vehicle collision in West Sussex.
A white Ford van, a BMW and a Toyota Rav4 were involved in the collision on the A272 Cuckfield bypass at about 08:50 GMT.
Two men and a woman were taken to hospital, two with life-threatening injuries and one with what police described as "life changing injuries".
The male driver of the Toyota is being treated for minor injuries.
Sussex Police said the road remained closed and there was serious congestion in the surrounding area.
A spokesman said: "There is no confirmation at this stage whether the morning's wintry conditions contributed to the collision."
