Janet Muller had been reported missing the day before her body was found

The family of a student whose body was found in the boot of a burning car have described her as a "much-loved daughter and twin sister".

Janet Muller, 21, was found in Ifield, near Crawley, West Sussex, on 13 March, a day after she was reported missing from Mill View Hospital, in Hove.

Her family said she was "very inspirational, passionate and caring".

Christopher Jeffrey-Shaw, 26, from Beckenham, south London, has been charged with Ms Muller's murder.

Ms Muller, from Eastbourne, died from smoke inhalation, police have said.

In a statement, the family of the University of Brighton student said they had been "overwhelmed with the love and support" from her friends worldwide.

"This tragic event has left a deep hole in the hearts of all that knew her.

"She will be deeply missed and always remembered for her energetic, fun, bubbly and vibrant personality," they said.
