A man has suffered serious injuries after a car crashed into the side of a house in West Sussex.

The driver was taken to hospital by air ambulance after fire fighters released him from the wreckage in Chepstow Close, Crawley.

Sussex Police said the vehicle left the road and hit the side of the property at about 15:00 GMT.

No-one else was injured and the cause of the crash is under investigation, the force said.
