London Gatwick said its dedicated fire service "swiftly" attended
Passengers were evacuated from Gatwick Airport's North Terminal after a fire alarm was activated earlier.
In a statement, the airport said its fire service attended the departure lounge and confirmed there was no fire following the alert on Monday morning.
Passengers were allowed back into the lounge shortly after.
A Gatwick spokesperson said: "Safety and security are our top priority and we resolved the situation as quickly as possible."
