Large parrot frightens Teesside OAP

A pensioner was left terrified when she came face to face with a large parrot.
The lost African Grey bird flew in through the open window of a flat in Kennedy Gardens, Billingham over the bank holiday, startling the woman.
She immediately called Stockton Council's animal welfare officers - who usually deal with stray dogs.
An officer came and captured the parrot, but it has still not been reunited with its owner.
It has been living at the Council's Animal Welfare Service.
Councillor Steve Nelson, Stockton Council's cabinet member for housing and community safety, said: "The service has an on-call officer responsible for dealing with stray dogs.
"However, they acted swiftly to help this resident who was understandably shocked to have a large parrot come through her window.
"I hope the parrot can now be reunited with its rightful owner."
