Tariff rise to use Middlesbrough's Transporter Bridge

Travellers are facing a price increase to use Middlesbrough's landmark Transporter Bridge.
From Monday users will pay an extra 10p, making it 70p for pedestrians and £1.30 for car and van drivers.
Middlesbrough Council said it was the first price rise in a "number of years."
It has applied to the Heritage Lottery Fund for £2.5m to improve the bridge. The Grade II-listed structure celebrates its centenary on 17 October.
The 225ft (69m) high bridge is one of Teesside's most recognisable landmarks and is seen as a symbol of the area's industrial heritage.
