INTRO are looking for local bands to fill the Homegrown Stage

INTRO, the new name for Middlesbrough Music Live, is looking for local talent to star on the two Homegrown stages at the event.

The stages are dedicated to showcasing the best bands that the thriving local music scene has to offer.

Organisers are looking for anyone that plays original music to apply for a chance to take part.

The deadline for submissions is 13 April, with Bob Fischer announcing the line up on BBC Tees on 26 April.

Henry Carden from Ten Feet Tall, the company behind the one day event said: "Teesside's music scene feels like it's really picking up pace at the moment, with bands like The Chapman Family, Young Rebel Set, Cattle & Cane and Hey Alaska all making waves nationally, and it's really promising that there's a whole host of up and coming acts who look primed and ready to follow suit.

"We're really looking forward to hearing all the tracks that get uploaded as not only us, but members of the public will be able to give all the songs a listen to.

"So we'll have created an online musical library of Teesside bands which could be a great resource all year round."

To upload your song, go to Intro Online, external and click on the "Apply To Play" link.
