Riverside park from Stockton to Yarm undergoes revamp

A riverside park has undergone revamp work including upgrading paths to improve visitor access.
The work has been carried out at the Tees Heritage park which runs from Stockton to Yarm along the River Tees.
More than £450,000 is being spent on making the area more visitor-friendly including installing a boardwalk and ramp at Preston Park.
Improvements to paths in and around Black Bobbies Field have also being carried out.
The money has come from Groundwork UK and Big Lottery Fund's Community Spaces.
The scheme to enhance the area is being backed by Stockton Council, the Environment Agency and Groundwork North East.
