Middlesbrough £30m snow centre plans unveiled

Plans to build a £30m snow and leisure centre in Middlesbrough have been unveiled.

The indoor facility in Middlehaven would include a 557ft (170m) ski-slope, climbing area, trampoline park, indoor sky diving centre and shops and cafes.

Cool Runnings (NE) Ltd said the plans would be submitted to Middlesbrough Council in the next few months.

If approved, building work will begin in 2016, with work expected to be completed by 2018.

The development is the latest part in the regeneration of Middlehaven, external, with more than £150m already being spent on housing, leisure and business developments.
