Probe after man dies and another hurt at Newton Aycliffe recycling plant

One man has died and another has been seriously hurt at a recycling centre in County Durham, police have confirmed.
Emergency services were called to an incident at John Wade's Quarry, Newton Aycliffe, at 12:00 GMT on Saturday.
A spokeswoman for Durham Police said officers from the Health and and Safety Executive (HSE) were later called to the scene and a joint investigation was launched.
She said the dead man's family had been informed.
No further details were released.
