Dillon Turner died after his quad bike crashed

A teenager has died after the quad bike he was riding was involved in a crash.

Dillon Turner, 19 from Coundon, County Durham, suffered serious injuries following the incident in Ingleton shortly after 15:00 BST on Tuesday.

He was airlifted to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough but later died of his injuries.

Mr Turner's family said that they were devastated by his death and would like to be left alone to grieve.

Durham Police are appealing for witnesses.
