Two further people, including a 15-year-old boy, have appeared in court charged with the murder of a "doting father".
Adam Thomson, aged 30, died on Sydenham Road, Hartlepool on 4 January.
Steven Corbett, 30, of Brenda Road, Hartlepool and the boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court.
They were remanded in custody and are due to appear at Teesside Crown Court on Thursday.
Two people, Sarah Hadfield and Anthony Hadfield, have already appeared in court also charged with Mr Thomson's murder.
They are due to appear at the same court later this year.
Following Mr Thomson's death, eight people including five men and three women were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
They have since been released on police bail as inquiries continue.
Previously, Mr Thomson's family said: "Adam was a much-loved father, son and brother who will be sorely missed by all of his family and friends.
"He was a quiet lad, and a doting father to his three-year-old daughter.
"We are devastated to lose him so young."
