A174 Lazenby Bypass: Westbound route closing for 10 days
- Published
Motorists will face disrupted journeys when a major Teesside route closes next week.
The westbound carriageway of the A174 Lazenby Bypass will close for 10 days from 09:00 GMT on Monday 30 October.
Redcar and Cleveland Council is imposing the closure to allow for the road to be repaired and restructured.
A diversion will be in place during the works, with the council stressing everything possible will be done to keep traffic moving.
The eastbound carriageway will be unaffected by the closure.
The diversion route will follow Kirkleatham Lane to the junction with Trunk Road, then continue along Trunk Road for its full length to Westgate roundabout.
Drivers can access the A19 by following the diversion along Greystones Road to Greystones roundabout, while traffic coming from the Wilton Lane direction will need to join the A174 eastbound carriageway.
