Police said the delivery driver was attacked in Middlesbrough's Oxford Road
A supermarket delivery driver was attacked and robbed of two crates of lager on Teesside.
Police said the man was punched in the face in Oxford Road, Middlesbrough, at about 20:30 BST on Monday after he was approached by two men on bikes.
Having been pulled to the ground, he was kicked and punched again, before the pair, believed to be aged between 25 and 31, made off.
The driver went to hospital after suffering injuries to his leg and face.
He has since been released, Cleveland Police said.
The force said the man was approached from the Whinney Banks and Acklam Road traffic lights.
Officers believe a small red car was nearby and have appealed to the driver or any passengers to contact them.
