Police have issued a warning following the theft of copper cable from a Newcastle building site.
Thieves climbed scaffolding before cutting away cable worth thousands of pounds.
The site, at Dovercourt Road in the Walker area, was broken into between 7 and 12 January.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said the offenders were putting their lives at risk by entering fenced off building sites and climbing scaffolding.
