A Tyneside library has closed for two months for improvement works.
Jesmond Library was built in 1963, and the £40,000 scheme will recreate the original internal look of the Grade II-listed structure.
There will be also be a new front desk, automatic doors and self-service machines, similar to those installed at Newcastle's City Library.
During closure items can be returned to other Newcastle libraries, or to the cafe in Jesmond Methodist Church.
The library is scheduled to reopen in May.
