Arrest over social network site disorder incitement

A South Tyneside woman has been arrested on suspicion of using a social networking site to incite other people to commit disorder.

Northumbria Police said the force had been monitoring such sites following reports from members of the public.

The 21-year-old of Hebburn was later bailed pending further enquiries.

A police spokesman said: "We will continue to maintain a robust approach to anyone suspected of being engaged in or inciting public disorder."
