Wind turbine parts block A696 in Northumberland
- Published
A main road in Northumberland could be shut for two days after a lorry carrying wind turbine parts overturned.
During the incident on the A696 north of Ottercops the cargo of turbine parts spilled on to the road.
Police said that due to the size and weight of the load, the road would remain closed for up to two days while it was safely removed.
Diversions on to the A68 have been put in place and motorists have been asked to avoid the area where possible.
