Pavel Srnicek: Memorial service for ex-NUFC favourite
A memorial service has been held on Tyneside for Newcastle United's popular former goalkeeper Pavel Srnicek.
Srnicek became a fan favourite during two spells with the Magpies.
He died in his native Czech Republic after suffering a cardiac arrest at the age of 47.
His funeral took place in his hometown of Ostrava last Monday.
In Newcastle, hundreds of mourners gathered at St Andrew's Church to celebrate his life.
His agent Steve Wraith organised the service, along with Pavel's good friend, fellow former Newcastle United keeper Steve Harper.
