Newcastle Turkish Baths plans go on show

Plans to "bring back to life" Turkish baths which closed despite public protests have gone on show.
The Grade II listed City Pool and Turkish Baths in Newcastle shut in 2013 as part of the city council's £100m budget cuts.
Leisure charity Fusion Lifestyle Ltd has now been granted a lease and put forward plans for a £5m renovation.
The plans can be viewed at Newcastle Civic Centre. The public has until 17 June to comment.
Peter Kay, from Fusion Lifestyle, said the plan was to restore the site in a sympathetic way.
"The building is packed with original features and a fundamental part of what we want to do is to retain them.
"So we'll be bringing them back to life to a whole new audience which may not have seen them or experienced them before."
