Gateshead goats eat Christmas trees to help environment

A social enterprise group in Gateshead is using goats to recycle real Christmas trees.

Sooty and Sweep at Birkheads Wild have been tasked with eating the trees in a bid to help the environment.

So far, 10 trees have been donated for the pair to munch on and the centre is encouraging the public to give them their old trees now the festive period is over.
