Three people have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a teenager died in a house fire.

Leah Casson, 18, died in the blaze at the property in Vicarage Street, North Shields, in January.

Three other people managed to escape from the building but suffered serious injuries.

A woman in her 40s, and two men aged between 35 and 40, have now been arrested and released on bail, Northumbria Police said.
