Northumberland: Two killed in second A69 multi-vehicle crash

Two people who were passengers in separate cars involved in a three-vehicle collision on the A69 have died.
A grey Mazda 3 collided with a silver Skoda Fabia, which then crashed into a Land Rover, between Hexham and Haydon Bridge at about 17:50 on Thursday.
The passengers of the Mazda and the Skoda, an 81-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman, died at the scene.
Earlier on Thursday, an 81-year-old woman died in a six-vehicle crash on the same road.
Northumbria Police said the drivers of the two cars were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The force has urged anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact officers.
A spokesperson for the police said the Mazda was travelling eastbound when it collided with the Skoda, which was heading westbound.
The black Land Rover Discovery was travelling eastbound when it was hit by the Skoda.
Earlier in the day, a woman died in a six-vehicle collision on the A69, near the roundabout with the A68 at Styford.
Police believe the 81-year-old woman was a passenger in a Toyota Yaris when it was hit by a BMW 420D.
