Large fire near Alnmouth beach put out

The fire was put out just before 20:00 GMT on Sunday, Christmas Eve
A large blaze that broke out on the Northumberland coast has been put out, a fire service has confirmed.
Crews were called to an area near Alnmouth beach just after 16:30 GMT on Sunday, Christmas Eve.
Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service said it sent four appliances and a fogging unit to the scene, and they left shortly before 20:00 GMT.
The area was monitored for hotspots during the evening and was re-inspected on Monday morning, Christmas Day.
