Roker and Seaburn seafront refurbishment continues

The next phase in the £2.8m upgrade of Roker and Seaburn seafront is under way with the upgrade of the public toilets.
Sunderland Council is spending £135,000 on structural repairs and retiling the facilities near the Cat and Dog steps. The work will take several weeks.
Temporary toilets are currently open in Whitburn Road.
Over the next three years the council is spending £2.8m on the seafront, including revamping Roker Pier and the Lighthouse.
