Forward Swindon chief executive resigns

The chief executive of a company responsible for delivering economic growth in Swindon has resigned with immediate effect.

Karen Walker said she was leaving Forward Swindon for "personal reasons".

Her role will be taken over on an interim basis by Ian Piper, from the South West Regional Development Agency.

Ms Walker said: "It is clear to me that Swindon has huge potential and a bright future."

"I wish all involved every success."
