Swindon speedway plans given extra time
- Published
Developers behind plans to flatten Swindon's speedway stadium and build a new one on its current car park have been given more time to start work.
The plans, which also include a care home, youth training space and 450 homes, were given the go-ahead in 2008.
It was hoped it would be ready this year, but the work was postponed because of the slump in the housing market.
Developers now have have until 2013 to start the work.
