Fire destroys disused Swindon school

The building was previously used as a primary school

A disused school in Swindon has been destroyed by fire.

Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the former Windmill Hill Primary School, on Uxbridge Road, at 1900 BST.

A spokesman for the service said the derelict building was well alight when crews arrived and that they were still at the scene.

Four main jets and two hose reel jets were being used to deal with the incident.
