Wiltshire Council 'to cut 50 admin staff'
- Published
About 50 jobs could be axed in Wiltshire Council's administrative and business support areas, the authority has said.
The Conservative-run council is reviewing the departments with a view to making £1m of the £36m savings it says it needs to make next year.
A message to staff seen by the BBC said personal assistants, secretaries and other admin staff were at risk.
A spokesman said 20 posts which were already vacant would be among the cuts.
These are further job losses on top of ones already announced at the beginning of this year.
