Tributes have been paid to a man who died when the car he was travelling in collided with the back of a lorry.

Jack Savage, 20, was killed when a Ford Fiesta collided with the lorry on a slip road on the A419, at Commonhead, at 04:00 BST on Saturday.

Flowers have been placed next to the road and messages left on Facebook.

A 23-year-old man, from Swindon, who was driving the car, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has since been released on police bail.

Mr Savage, from Wanborough, has been described as a "true friend" who always had a smile on his face.

One tribute read: "No bad things could ever be said about you! Your cheeky smile was enough to brighten anyone's day. You were such a lovely, beautiful person."

Another added: "Jack, you were always the one to bring out everybody's mischievous side, you were so full of life it was infectious!!"

Wiltshire Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.
