Wiltshire Council job cuts to be decided

  • Published

Wiltshire Council bosses have started to check through voluntary redundancy applications as part of aims to cut 400 posts from their workforce.

The Conservative cabinet has said not all applications will be accepted and will depend on the council's needs.

A total of £4m needs to be saved in the 2013-14 budget. There are currently 3,889 staff at Wiltshire Council.

Letters to inform staff of the outcome of their application will be sent out from next week.
