A3102 crash: Car driver killed in collision with lorry

A woman died when the car she was driving collided with a lorry on a busy road in Wiltshire.

The crash happened on Thursday morning on the A3102 at Mile Elm - to the south of Calne.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said a silver Fiesta travelling south collided with a white Iveco lorry being driven in the opposite direction.

He said the female Fiesta driver, from the Wiltshire area, was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Collision investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed the accident which happened at 09:41 GMT," he said.

"In particular the driver of a van which was travelling north who left the scene before emergency services arrived who could have vital information about the collision."
