A36 near Codford reopens after car hits pedestrian

A section of an A road has reopened in both directions after a pedestrian was hit by a car.
The A36 near Codford in Wiltshire was closed between Heytesbury and Deptford just after 22.30 BST on Monday to allow investigation work to be carried out.
A man in his 40s was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
Wiltshire Police said no arrests have been made, and confirmed the A36 had now reopened in both directions.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact the force.
