Nationwide Building Society rebrands and commits to the high street

Nationwide will undertake its "most significant" rebrand in 36 years as it commits to the high street, protecting face-to-face services.
The building society, which has its headquarters in Swindon, said it will be investing in its 605 branches.
In June, Nationwide announced that it will not leave any town or city in which it is based until at least 2026.
Nationwide said it now has more branches by staying open while the "big banks continue to close theirs".
Nationwide's connection to Swindon goes back to 1883 with the founding of the New Swindon Permanent Building Society.
This society became part of Nationwide in 2007.
Chief Executive of Nationwide Building Society, Debbie Crosbie, said: "Our rebrand is the most significant in 36 years and ensures we continue to be relevant for the needs of customers today and tomorrow.
"Nationwide provides the face-to-face service that people value and need."
Nationwide said that its data shows that one in four savings accounts are opened in branch, with account openings higher than at any point since 2015.
Between January and July, Nationwide branch staff have prevented customers from losing over £4m to fraudsters and scammers in branches, the company added.
