"Eat lots of ice cream" and "belt up and get on with it" are a couple of messages care home residents have shared with younger generations.
Rachel Gittins from Elmfield Care said staff wanted to ask their residents at Flowers Manor Care Home in Chippenham what advice they would share.
"We find with age comes perspective and wisdom," she said.
Health and happiness were two common themes with its residents, aged 74 to 96.
"Our residents have lived through a variety of experiences and have first-hand experience with how our actions can impact our lives," Ms Gittens added.
George and Pat, aged 91 and 92 respectively, gave some encouragement with "just keep going my friend."
Meanwhile, 96 year-old Eileen urged people "be kind to each other."
"Eat lots of ice cream" from 74 year-old Di is not a message likely to be forgotten in a hurry while Mary's message urged others to "keep fit and mix with the older generation."
Max and Brenda, both 79, and Jock 76 all had advice around people's outlook on life.
Max suggested the younger generations should "always look on the bright side of life"; Brenda shared "your life is as good as your mindset." and Jock urged people to "live your life to the full".
Ray, 90 and Pauline, 89, shared the advice be happy and "enjoy your life and have fun".
