A man has been arrested after a video appeared on social media of a person driving at 160mph on a motorway.

The video showed a man filming himself speeding on the M4, between junction 16 for Swindon and 18 for Leigh Delamare Services, at 12:45 GMT on Sunday, Wiltshire Police said.

A man, in his 30s, was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of dangerous driving.

Sgt Ben Cox said the actions were "completely unacceptable".

A black Nissan GTR has been seized by police for examination.

Sgt Cox said: "Driving at speeds like this can so easily end in disaster as you have no time to respond to anything.

"We will not tolerate dangerous driving like this on our roads and we will ensure that those who do are found and brought before the courts."
