Melksham woman seriously injured in A3102 collision

A woman in her 60s is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a three-vehicle crash.

The incident happened on the A3102 near Calne, Wiltshire, at approximately 14:45 GMT on Monday.

A Vauxhall Zafira, Dacia Sandero and a Nissan Juke were involved, with the Dacia driver, who is from Melksham, airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for treatment.

Police said the road reopened at approximately 01:00 GMT.

A child, who was a passenger in the Vauxhall, was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath with minor injuries.

Wiltshire Police has appealed for any witnesses or people with dashcam footage from around the time of the incident to contact the force's serious collision investigation team.
