A driver has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after colliding with a tree.

Emergency services were called to the A3098 Hisomley crossroads, in Wiltshire, on 4 March following a single vehicle collision with a tree.

The female driver was trapped in the car while it was on its side, Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said.

The fire service told the BBC the road remains closed.

Three fire crews, from Westbury and Warminster, together with the heavy rescue unit from Trowbridge, responded to the incident.
