The family of a mother-of-two who died in a road crash have said they are "broken beyond words".

Danielle Stevens, 29, from Royal Wootton Bassett, died in a crash involving four vehicles on the B4696 near Ashton Keynes on Friday.

Known as Dannii, her family said they were "truly devastated" to lose "our beautiful girl" .

"We are lost. As are Dannii's gorgeous girls who have lost their amazing mummy," said the family.

They added: "Dannii was such a kind, caring and effervescent soul and brought all our lives into glorious technicolour.

"Dannii leaves an extensive family and many friends, too many to mention, and we ask for privacy in our grief as we try and come to terms with this tragic loss and shock.

"As a family, we wish to thank everyone for the outpouring of love, kind words and support which is giving us strength at this difficult time.

Wiltshire Police was called to the crash at about 14:15 GMT on Friday.

Ms Stevens, who had been driving one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene and two other people were taken to hospital to be treated for injuries not thought to be life threatening.

Police urged anyone who witnessed the crash or those with dashcam footage to contact officers.
