A driver was forced into a ditch to avoid a head-on crash with a car travelling on the wrong side of the road, police say.

The victim needed hospital treatment after the incident on the B4040 between Malmesbury and Easton Grey in Wiltshire.

Police are appealing for information about the crash, which happened between 22.30 GMT and 23.00 on Tuesday.

The suspect vehicle has been described as small and dark in colour.
