Wiltshire biker who filmed himself driving away from police banned

A motorcyclist who filmed himself driving away from police officers has been disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Damion Cregan, 23, failed to stop for officers in April 2023 near Bulford in Wiltshire, and did wheelies in front of them.

Cregan, of Cambridge Hill, Larkhill, admitted dangerous driving at Salisbury Magistrates Court on 28 March.

Police said his behaviour was "unacceptable".

PC Mike Hanscomb from Wiltshire Police's Road Policing Unit told the court he was overtaken by Cregan at around 11:40 BST on 15 April 2023.

'Great danger'

"When on patrol we were overtaken by a motorcyclist, who did not have a number plate," PC Hanscomb said.

"When we asked him to pull over and stop he did not and started to do wheelies in front of the marked police car.

"The driver also started to film himself while driving at speed in a 30mph zone.

"This kind of behaviour is totally unacceptable and put the public at great danger."

Cregan was also ordered to have an extended driving test, to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work, pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge.
