Crash teenager leads walk for Yorkshire Air Ambulance

A 15-year-old girl whose life was saved by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) is leading a fundraising walk to mark the charity's tenth anniversary.
In 2006, Charlotte Leighton, from Tollerton, North Yorkshire, was knocked down by a car and airlifted nearly 20 miles to Leeds General Infirmary.
She will lead a walk of the same distance, from where she was knocked down and ending at RAF Linton-on-Ouse.
Her mother Sue said without the charity her daughter would not be alive.
The teenager sustained severe injuries in the collision outside her home.
The YAA said getting specialised treatment so quickly resulted in her making a remarkable recovery which medical staff agreed was due to the fact they were able to tend to her injuries so quickly.
