Protest over City of York Council budget plans

Protesters campaigning against cuts to services in York have gathered outside the Guildhall as councillors discuss the city's budget.
Councillors on the authority were preparing to set their budget for the next two years.
The Labour-run council needs to shave £20m from its expenditure.
Among the measures being discussed is the shedding of 242 jobs, an increase in council tax of 1.9% and a rise in car park charges.
