A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of one woman and the attempted murder of another.
The body of Nicole Waterhouse, 32, who worked at Hunters Estate Agency, was found at a property on Phoenix Boulevard on Sunday.
Karen Browne, 23, was found injured at the property and remains critically ill in hospital.
Jeremy Green, 25, of Popeshead Court, York, was remanded in custody at York Magistrates' Court.
He is due to appear at Leeds Crown Court on 6 November.
