Inquiry into alleged Selby gang attack on children closed

The incident was said to have happened in Flaxley Road, Selby on 13 April.

Police investigating an alleged attack on three young children have closed their inquiry, saying the details were "not as they were initially reported".

Officers had appealed for witnesses to reports of a gang of masked teens attacking the children, aged seven, eight and nine.

North Yorkshire Police, however, said the investigation has now been closed following further inquiries.
