Tadcaster: Murder arrest after seriously injured man dies

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following events in Tadcaster

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after emergency crews attended a property in Tadcaster and discovered a seriously wounded man.

Police were called to reports of an injured man at an address at Rosemary Court at 07:20 BST.

Paramedics also attended but the man, in his twenties, was pronounced dead at the scene.

North Yorkshire Police said his next of kin had been informed.

The force added the area surrounding the scene was closed.

Officers also asked the public to avoid the area while the initial investigation was being carried out.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service is supporting officers with specialist screening equipment.
