- Published
A teenage girl suffered transphobic abuse and was threatened with violence on a bus in York, police have said.
The incident took place on the top deck of the number four bus as it was travelling in Acomb between 11:30 GMT and 12:10 GMT on Wednesday 28 February.
The victim was then chased from the bus by the four suspects, who were a boy and three girls all aged about 15.
Two girls had since been arrested and released on conditional bail, according to North Yorkshire Police.
All four of the suspects had been identified, a force spokesperson added.
An item was also taken from the victim during the incident.
Police asked anyone with information about what happened to get in touch.
Officers said they particularly wanted to hear from anyone who had been on the bus between Blossom Street and Chaloners Road.
